All three models has the same 4-inch retina display, front facing camera, apple A5 processor and running the latest version of ios 7.

The refreshed 16GB ipod touch model is unavailable at this time and only available in the us apple store, but will become available in the UK within the next few days.

Its official nexus is here to stay as confirmed by Google

After months of rumours and speculation that google  will shut its nexus line of devices in favour of a new program called "Android silver" something that was rumored to replace the nexus program, well Google's own head of nexus programme Dave burke laid this rumor to rest in a recent interview with readwrite. Heres what he had to say about all the crazy rumors spinning around nexus

“People have been commenting about Nexus because there is something else and they think that means the end of Nexus. That is the totally wrong conclusion to make. People just get excited by concepts and forget why we do things. We are still invested in Nexus.“

It would then appear that, while the Android Silver program could indeed be geared toward higher-end Android devices built by Google’s hardware partners and running near stock versions of Android (similar to Google Play), these devices will be offered in carrier store, with subsidized pricing.

This may have something to do with the fact that nobody wants to pay $700 upfront for a Google Play edition of a phone they can get on-contract for $100. Suddenly, Samsung holding back the Galaxy S5 Google Play edition is starting to make a lot of sense.

Burke goes on to clarify Google’s reliance on actual hardware to build Android onto, and the reason we’ve seen Android development phones since the original HTC Dream. But it’s not just for Android developers, consumers too need a lower-cost, contract-free Android device, offering the purest version of Android, with updates directly from Google.

“When we are working, there are sort of two outputs. We’re building a Nexus device and we’re building the open source code. There is no way you can build the open source code without the phone or tablet or whatever you are building. You have to live and breathe the code you are developing.

You can’t build a platform in the abstract, you have to build a device (or devices). So, I don’t think can can or will ever go away. And then, I think Nexus is also interesting in that it is a way of us explaining how we think Android should run. It is a statement, almost a statement of purity in some respects. I don’t see why we would ever turn away from that, it wouldn’t make sense.”

Looks like all these rumours was wrong after all,it's media talking about things that they have no involvement in.This is greats news for google and its nexus users as it means they won't be missing out on future software updates and hardware support.

Android 4.4.4 update rolling out now

A new Android 4.4.4 update that has arrived on select  Nexus devices just weeks after Google introduced the Android 4.4.3 patch.

A minor update to Google’s KitKat foundations, the Android 4.4.4 update focuses on introducing a number of new security patches and has been given a low-key release due to its lack of high-profile new features.

There is little known about the introduction plans for the new Android update, although a number of Nexus 5 owners are reporting they have today received the new patch.
As such, it appears that the Android 4.4.4 update is being focused on Google’s latest own-branded smartphone first.

According to AndroidCentral, the Android 4.4.4 update is also being rolled out for Google's line of nexus devices including the nexus 4,nexus 7,nexus 10.

Google have yet to confirm the rollout of android 4.4.4. Stay tuned for more updates.

Top 5 tv shows to watch on amazon prime instant video

Dexter
What?
Dexter is a crime show and showtime most original series to date. The show is about a blood spatter analyst dexter Morgan who goes by his day to day job by solving crimes but by night he's a serial killer? I know the word serial killer doesn't exactly sounds friendly but dexter he doesn't just kill any random people he hunts down criminals that have escaped justice and deserves to die. Dexter lives by this strict code that his father taught him which he calls the dark passenger.
The thing that makes Dexter stand out from the crowd is the character is unique, different and much larger than life. It's not like other crime shows where a bunch of detectives trying to investigate a murder, see what happened, who did this and why. No Dexter is different, unique and in my opinion much better than all these other same old crime shows we are used to seeing.
There's so many memorable moments from dexter like dexter framing doakes, saving his sister from the bayhabour butcher.Season 7 is the only season of Dexter where i enjoyed every single episode from start to finish. In season 7 dexter's true identity is no longer a secret the one person who he trusted all his life knows his secret.

This new Thl smartphone has an insane battery life?

There are many android manufacturers offering flagship android smartphones, however what they fell in short is battery life. There is one manufacturer that delivers true long battery life in a flagship smartphone and its called the thl 5000.

EE to introduce Wi-Fi and 4G calls in the UK

EE to introduce Wi-Fi and 4G calls to the UK

EE has confirmed that it is to trial both Wi-Fi and 4G calls in the UK, with the test services to kick off later this year.

A move that will improve audio quality and reduce the number of dropped calls, the initiative will also help bring the network’s 4G platform to more rural areas of the UK, as well as allow consumers to make high quality calls whenever, and wherever they are connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Part of a £275 million investment initiative into improving voice capabilities, the 4G calling trials from EE will see more than 6,000 2G sites upgraded and help expand the company’s 4G network into less urban areas of the UK, with first trials later this year to be focused on rural Oxfordshire.

“4G calling, or VoLTE, is an exciting technology that we’re going to be trialling in the coming months using our low frequency spectrum, bringing one of the world’s best voice and data services to a part of rural Britain that has previously been unconnected,” Fotis Karonis, EE’s Chief Technical Officer said.

“When we have rigorously tested the performance of 4G calling and made sure that it matches our 2G and 3G quality, we’ll launch it nationwide on our 4G network.”

EE says it expects its 4G calls to be rolled out at some point in 2015 following a substantial test later this year.

More importantly though, EE is looking to turn your home and office Wi-Fi networks into a means of making easy, high quality calls.

Far from going head-to-head with the likes of VoIP provider Skype, EE’s Wi-Fi calling will automatically see your standard calls – or SMS messages – pushed to Wi-Fi when connected to a stable network.

“Our WiFi calling capability will let customers make calls where they have access to WiFi but not to the mobile network,” Karonis stated.

“The customer experience is seamless because it’s the same as making a network call and uses the normal call interface of the handset.

“This is a major part of our strategy to invest in giving customers the ability to make a call wherever they are, and we’re confident that this service can make a big difference to people in homes and large offices across the country, especially in the most rural areas, that don’t have mobile coverage.”

According to the pioneering network, it will launch its Wi-Fi calling service this autumn for use with “the latest handsets capable of supporting the service.”

3 reasons why you should invest in amazon new fire phone

Amazon has announced its first smartphone recently and looking to differentiate from other smartphone makers.

Here i will discuss 3 reasons why you should invest your money in amazon new smartphone instead of a competitor.

1. Amazon prime instant video
If you are a customer of amazon prime you will know that amazon offers free two day shipping and unlimited movies and tv shows with prime instant video. The level of quality content is undeniable that's why many choose to subscribe to prime because of quality and choice. 2. 3D technology
What makes the fire phone unique and stand out is its 3D technology. Few manufacturers such as lg,HTC have tried to adopt 3D technology onto their products but has failed, this is where amazon fire phone comes in it has two 3D technologies Dynamic perspective and firefly. Dynamic perspective uses a custom lens technology and responds the way you interact with your phone.Firefly can almost recognise everything in the real world including items you use on a daily basis such as phone numbers, web links, bar codes, movies and tv shows.

3.Headphones
Most smartphones today comes with rubbish accessories that may put off some people. Headphones is a popular subject when it comes to smartphones. Normally when you a buy a smartphone from any manufacturer like Samsung, apple,lg the accessories are rubbish and some prefer to buy a decent headphones rather than using manufacturers own. Amazon has decided to include some decent accessories something that people will actually use. They are including a tangle free premium headset which delivers better sound, extended base, richer clear voice, better audio quality and rich entertainment experience.

Best network provider in the UK?

Hello everyone,
I will review the top 4 networks providers in the uk. Give you my honest opinion on which each of these network offers in terms of quality, products and services.

t-mobile/ee
T-Mobile is the most reliable networks in the uk and provides great 3G and 2G coverage.

I have been using t-mobile over 7 years and i can tell you the quality of the network is improving and introducing some new bundles like smart packs to offer bundles of minutes, data and text for a fixed amount.

Incentives/benefits
The great thing about t-mobile is the quality of service they provide to users.
Even though t-mobile doesn't offer loyalty program like o2 rewards or vodafone own freebie rewards in this case I can ignore that part and just concentrate on their services and products they offer customers.

Customer service
Another major factor when choosing a network provider. I haven't had any major problems with t-mobile so far other than some minor problems. Whenever i had a query or questions about any of their services t-mobile customer service team was helpful and quite useful in some ways.

Coverage
It covers most of the region including small rural areas where t-mobile just works fine. In terms of coverage I would say 96% that's nearly more than half of the uk population.

Vodafone
Vodafone its good but it's coverage is not as strong as t-mobile.
In small rural areas this is where vodafone lacks 3G and 2G connection. A Job t-mobile does very well especially on small cities and areas where network coverage is all time low.

Incentives/benefits
What appealed to me about vodafone is its rewards program called vodafone freebie rewards. The freebie rewards program gives users points everything you top up. Once you have collected enough freebie points you can redeem for a range of rewards. The programme is kind of similar to tesco clubcard but you can only collect points on top ups.

Coverage
I've used vodafone frequently on many different areas. What I noticed the most 3G works better in popular areas like London, Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds.
As I mentioned before its coverage is not strong as t-mobile but I would say 3G works maybe 80-85%. If I'm in a area where network coverage is all time low 2G doesn't even work I can't even make emergency calls in rural areas something t-mobile does better job at.
Hopefully vodafone will work on small areas where coverage is poor and needs a good makeover.

o2
In recent years o2 service has gotten worse and worse which led me to leave o2 and try a network who are able to deliver good quality products and who actually cares about it's users.

Incentives/benefits
o2 has its own loyalty program like any other networks. o2 rewards. How it works is you get 10% of your top ups every 3 months. You can either exchange your o2 rewards for top up credit or money off a new phone.

Customer service
one of the mains reasons why I left o2.my experience was so bad there's not enough words to describe how i feel about them.

Coverage
Covers all areas of the uk.

Virgin Mobile
Probably one of the most least wanted networks in the uk. Poor products, poor customer service. It just doesn't match up to the quality offered by bigger networks like t-mobile and vodafone.

Incentives/benefits
None. In my experience it's not worth the time looking at Virgin Mobile.

Customer service
Absolutely rubbish. Lack of knowledge about their own products and services.

Coverage
Virgin Mobile uses EE network to provide coverage.

Hopefully you get an idea of how these networks works, their benefits of being with them and who should you really avoid? (Virgin Mobile)

Android to get a major overhaul?

Let's face the truth android hasn't been exactly know for its beautiful design like ios. Over the years android has went through alot of changes in terms of software but one thing remains the same is the ugly green robot. Google needs to revamp android completely I don't mean just some software updates I'm talking about the brand, design and the look and feel of android.
Source:Geekwire
Sources familiar with Google's plan have revealed that Google intends to deliver a consistent user experience across all platforms a bit similar like ios.

Google is said to be working with quantum for the revamped android delivering the same user experience across all devices.

Here is some alleged screenshots of the rumored design leak. The new design shows a new interface for Gmail both the app and the desktop version.

What do you guys think of this major overhaul of android?

Microsoft to bring cortana to rival devices?

Cortana Microsoft digital assistant
Microsoft own digital personal assistant cortana is not available everywhere only limited in the u.s. Bad news for those who are in the uk and was looking forward to using Microsoft newly digital personal assistant.

Windows phone group manager Marcus Ash are strategically looking at making cortana available on other competing platforms.

When Microsoft announced cortana back in April at its annual 2014 build conference its executives mentioned they was working on cortana before windows phone all the way back to 2009. At this stage cortana is still in beta development and Microsoft and its teams are working around the clock to improve the functionality of Cortana and make it look more of a direct competitor.

Keeping cortana only to windows phone wouldn't help Microsoft at all it would mean limited sales, small users and Microsoft wouldn't be able to showcase cortana's  full capabilities.

Deciding to release Cortana across various  platforms would give Microsoft some hope,it would also help them reach more customers and create a stronger brand for windows phone.

Potential problems Microsoft may face if they do decide to release cortana on cross-platform is the lack of deep intergration and it how it may work on other systems.

Expanding cortana beyond windows phone will be a huge risk for Microsoft especially as its trying to gain some new customers on the windows phone platform.

It will be interesting to see how this strategy works in the future hopefully Microsoft will carefully think about this strategy before making it available on other cross-platforms.

Motorola Moto G Review?

Motorola Moto G Review

Motorola's most affordable smartphone to date!

The moto g 16Gb model sim free

here I will give a detail review of the moto g by Motorola the one I have is the 16Gb version which can be purchased at many retailers that includes tesco, carphonewarehouse, asda and amazon. The 16Gb model is priced at £145.

I will review in 4 different areas so users can get a idea of how this smartphone works and whether this is a buy?

Display
The first thing you will notice about the moto g is the display. It is a HD display a screen resolution by 1280X720 which equals to a pixel density of 326 which almost rivals the iPhone 5S which is 5X more pricier than the cheaper moto g.both the iPhone 5S and moto g uses IPS displays ensuring texts, images are clear and the colours on the moto g just pops out. Its got a good viewing angles no matter how you use the phone which is a rare in most budget smartphones today.

Battery
What happens when our smartphones battery dies and we have to charge it constantly just to keep the smartphone going, however that's not the case with moto g as it delivers exceptional battery life (although battery life may vary by settings/configurations).

I was able to get 7 to 8 hours of usage without having to plug my phone this is a huge factor when choosing a smartphone. If you're a heavy user who likes to watch the latest films and TV episodes and connecting to social media sites then moto g will do that just for you. In my time with this I was about to get about 6 hours of heavy usage and that's all by watching some movies,TV shows, checking my emails, listening to music and browsing the web.

If you're a light or medium  user who wants to check emails, playing some games, browsing the web you should be able to get 7 to 8 Hours of usage.

Software
The great about the moto g is not only its affordable but it comes with the latest android software which is a rare for budget smartphones.

Out of the gate you will find android kitkat right out the box. The latest android update works smoothly and no signs of lags.

It doesn't stop there as Motorola promised that they will be bringing even more improvements to make the whole user experience a lot more better.

Memory
When buying a smartphone users will also take consideration the amount of memory a phone has. Well Motorola has worked a solution for this. If you buy the 8GB or 16GB you will get 50GB of free Google drive storage only available for the moto g. With Google cloud drive storage it will automatically back up all your files, settings, media and pictures for free up to 2 years. Me personally find this very useful if your using multiple devices or lost your phone and want all your important files stored safely in the cloud. This is where Google drive comes in handy.

conclusion
After using the phone for the past several months I highly recommend this smartphone to anyone who wants a well made device but without the high price tag.

The future of computable wearable's?

there's alot of hype around wearable's and major retailers now marketing wearable's like its the next big thing?

Wearable's right now is in its early stage and the function of these devices are limited and its not better than a smartphone or a tablet.why you may ask?
The reason is if it cannot perform or have the functionality of a smartphone or a tablet i don't see the reason to buy it.sure it may be lighter, better looking but those are not reasons someone might purchase wearable's device its about functionality and what it can do.

Lets look at few wearable's devices and see how they compare

Google glass

I can't recall how many times i seen advertising for google glass. While it may be promising but are lot of disadvantages to it.

Disadvantages
• its expensive and aimed at certain customers more like tech enthusiasts or developers that wants the latest and greatest technology at any price
• Functions are limited and it may not work with all android devices maybe high end android smartphones
• Only available in the u.s

Advantages
Has the potential to be more powerful and do sophisticated tasks in the future

Pebble Smartwatch

Pebble smartwatch is very popular but again the function of this device is limited.Maybe 3-4 years later they might be powerful enough to handle all your day to day tasks and probably capable of more in the future.

Looking towards to the future...
I believe wearable's has the capability and the desire to succeed in the future but manufacturer and retailers have to work together very closely, ensuring proper research and better advertising about the capabilities of these wearable's devices.

What do you think of wearable devices? Is there a certain future you want in a future  device? Let me know your thoughts and comments

My experience with Samsung

my first smartphone from Samsung was the Galaxy S,bada series, ace series.

My experience with Samsung was worse each and every time i bought a phone from them and the customer service is absolutely rubbish they are no use at all whenever i had a problem with one of their devices they told me to go back to the retailer where i purchased from. Talk about poor customer service experience.

You would think a big company like Samsung would spend a bit more money on making high quality premium smartphones using high quality materials but no that's not the case with Samsung.

Nearly all their handsets and devices they make is plastic. Cheap plastic. They wouldn't bother using premium materials for at least one of their devices. Its plastic through and through.

The only way to describe how i feel about Samsung is by sharing my experiences with you so you can get an idea of how Samsung really works and whether it's buying anything from them.

From my experience it's not worth the time or money to invest in Samsung's products.

There are bunch of small companies that makes better devices than Samsung even if their product is limited or not widely available.

Have you had any poor experience with any company? If so let me know your experience, thoughts and etc.

Does true wireless charging exists?

There are many accessories available for today's smartphones some are good others well let's say its not something someone will talk about often.

Wireless charging is available on most android devices as well ios devices but the question im really asking is does true wireless charging exists?

It may be difficult to answer question like this but true wireless charging is not available to customers just yet.

Sure there are lots of wireless charging plates and wireless covers available for smartphones but those are not true wireless charging. Who wants to put their phone onto a charging plate or add a heavy case just to charge your phone? Well no one wants that!

People wants simplicity? Yes as hard as it may to believe people want something that works right out of the box without any complicated set ups.

What is true wireless charging?
True wireless charging is charging any electronic devices using wi-fi and Bluetooth. There's no need for wires,no heavy cases to add to your phone. As long as you have good internet connection and Bluetooth on your smartphone or electric devices you can have true wireless charging capabilities at your home.

Is true wireless charging available to customers?
While there are loads of wireless charging accessories available. True wireless charging is not available for commercial. At the moment its in production and it will take about 2-3 years to be available to  the public.

Will it be expensive and will it work with my current device?
Its not available to the general public so its difficult to determine how much will it cost to the customer. Manufacturers are working on making true wireless charging affordable so more users can afford it. It will also work with any internet enabled device.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about true wireless charging feel free to let us know your thoughts...

The future of Nokia/Microsoft

Now that Nokia is officially acquired by Microsoft. It's not going to be playing catch up anymore they will try to stay at least one step ahead of the game.

Here we will look at possible ways Microsoft can further raise awareness of the windows phone platform, increase more sales and better marketing.

Stay upto date
What better way to stay upto date is by closely monitoring what your competitors are doing and how you can stand out from the crowd.

Innovation
Microsoft needs to bring relevant and innovative features that will make customers lives more easier, more convenient and useful.

Risks
Taking risks is a huge gamble. Microsoft can't be afraid to take risks they need to think outside the box and be more open and flexible.

Marketing
You have a great product but no marketing? How will you achieve your targeted sales? Microsoft needs to pay attention to marketing, how its going to target its customers, its brand and convince customers to buy windows phone over its competitors. Every little details counts, their message needs to be clear, focused and simple.

I believe windows phone can do well especially now that Microsoft has Nokia up its sleeve. But its not going to be happen by accident it can happen by thinking outside the box, planning every little detail, working together to achieve the same goal/target and keeping positive energy around them.

Do you think Nokia can be more successful now that it is owned by Microsoft? If so share your comments and thoughts about this whole thing...
